Should everyone buy health insurance? I know one couple who decided that getting insurance was not congruent with their healthy lifestyle. However, they are millionaires and could afford to pay for any kind of care should they be in an accident or get sick.

For the rest of us, we decide to spread the risk of paying for expensive health care through monthly health insurance premiums.

So instead of being hit with a $50,000 hospital bill in one fell swoop, we hope that having insurance will shoulder the lion's share of that.

There are many things to consider when getting life insurance. The bigger the pool of members, the easier it might be to get a good rate. However, there are also association policies that can be very attractive if the membership tends to be healthy.

It is important to check to make sure that the insurance is in good financial standing and has a record of paying claims.
