About Sabine Carsten I was born in Germany and came to the United States as a student when I was 22 years old. My first 2 years were spent at Purdue University in Indiana, followed by 4 years on Long Island, where I worked at Brookhaven National Laboratory. My backgrounds were Physics and Math. After I left the scientific world I designed and developed computer systems for various industries. I worked as an independent consultant mostly in the Financial District in New York City and also on Long Island. But I also included some time at Colombia Pictures on 5th Avenue with many trips to Burbank, California! And developed a cargo system for Lufthansa German Airlines! My favorite vacation destination had always been Sanibel Island. I finally decided to move here permanently, about 10 years ago and became a real estate broker. I have never enjoyed life and work more. I brought with me my knowledge of financial systems, my organizational skills and my attention to detail. Combined with my real estate expertise I bring you thus a well rounded experience you may not want to miss with your next real estate transaction.

Sanibel is a city in Lee County, Florida, United States. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 6,064. As of 2004, the population recorded by the U.S. Census Bureau is 6,102 [1].
The city is on Sanibel Island on the Gulf coast of Southwest Florida, and is linked to the mainland by the Sanibel Causeway. A short bridge over Blind Pass links Sanibel to the unincorporated town of Captiva on Captiva Island.
More than half of the two islands is preserved in its natural state as wildlife refuges. You can drive, walk, bike, or kayak through the J. N. ("Ding") Darling National Wildlife Refuge[2].
The main town is at the eastern end of the island, while the community of Santiva (a portmanteau of Sanibel and Captiva) is at the northwestern end. The city was formed in 1974 as a direct result of the main causeway being built in 1963 to replace the ferry, and the rampant construction and development that occurred afterward. -- Source: Wikipedia.com
