Let's face it. Everyone has to deal with stress. However, how do we know that our stress level is so excessive that it affects our health and a bad sort of way? I am focusing here of what is known as negative stress. Generally, this occurs when a person's ability to handle a situation is exceeded by the perceived difficulty. For many people this motivates them to look within and find resources, which may be used to increase their level of performance and confidence. For others, stressful situations may cause them to automatically cower, become defensive, and do their best to hide and avoid. Nevertheless, for both groups should stress become a chronic part of their lives, they will most definitely suffer mentally, physically, in regards to their performance level.

Cyber bullying seems to be an invention of the Internet era. This form of cowardly bullying involves someone – who is frequently anonymous – communicating through e-mail or social media sites in a very threatening manner. Like bullying that involves the bully being present in person, one cyber bully is almost always joined by others who join in on the frenzy.
As I have written frequently, all bullying is a manifestation of instinctual dominance play in which one or more person’s seek to prey on those who are deemed to be helpless. While this is normally a matter of brawn, in more intellectual society, it may take other forms such as a group social ostracizing some, the overly aggressive behavior of debt collectors, or even many of the typical behaviors of attorneys. Intra-office conflicts often happen because of the way different people or groups operate mentally. Simplistically, I look at how a person’s typical use of their brain affects the way that they approach problems. This can easily be divided into feelings (i.e. limbic) and thinking (i.e. cognitive). Thus a person who takes a rather emotional approach will frequently be in conflicts with those who are thinkers. Likewise, if a thinking person attempts to reason with a feeling one, they will not connect. Of course, this does not mean that two limbic-oriented people will not have a difficulty resolving conflicts. If they are too different in their feelings, this is attack/fight-flight mode will always cause problems. On the other hand, two thinkers can generally reason or argue their way out of a problem.
