The racial makeup of the city was 91.51% White, 0.74% African American, 0.70% Native American, 1.45% Asian, 0.27% Pacific Islander, 3.18% from other races, and 2.15% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 7.35% of the population. There were 5,193 households out of which 34.9% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 59.9% were married couples living together, 10.8% had a female householder with no husband present, and 25.4% were non-families. 20.9% of all households were made up of individuals and 9.6% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
