Medina is a village in Orleans County, New York, USA. The population was 6,415 at the 2000 census. The Village of Medina is at the border of the Towns of Shelby and Ridgeway. The Erie Canal passes through the village. It lies at the junction of NYS Route 31 and NYS Route 63. The Village of Medina was incorporated in 1832.
