The racial makeup of the town was 93.11% White, 4.19% African American, 0.19% Native American, 1.34% Asian, 0.54% from other races, and 0.62% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.23% of the population. There were 3,341 households out of which 40.0% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 70.5% were married couples living together, 7.4% had a female householder with no husband present, and 19.9% were non-families. 16.6% of all households were made up of individuals and 4.7% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
