The racial makeup of the city was 93.20% White, 2.75% African American, 0.47% Native American, 2.04% Asian, 0.01% Pacific Islander, 0.73% from other races, and 0.80% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.81% of the population. There were 3,743 households out of which 32.1% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 56.8% were married couples living together, 9.7% had a female householder with no husband present, and 29.9% were non-families. 26.2% of all households were made up of individuals and 8.3% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
