There were 786 housing units at an average density of 273.4/km² (706.0/mi²). The racial makeup of the city was 97.65% White, 0.48% African American, 0.24% Native American, 0.62% Asian, 0.38% from other races, and 0.62% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.91% of the population. There were 770 households out of which 41.9% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 54.8% were married couples living together, 10.9% had a female householder with no husband present, and 30.3% were non-families. 25.1% of all households were made up of individuals and 11.0% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
