There were 9,945 housing units at an average density of 297.7/km² (770.9/mi²). The racial makeup of the CDP was 92.45% White, 3.29% African American, 0.18% Native American, 2.77% Asian, 0.04% Pacific Islander, 0.32% from other races, and 0.94% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.19% of the population. There were 9,731 households out of which 40.9% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 73.7% were married couples living together, 6.8% had a female householder with no husband present, and 16.7% were non-families. 13.4% of all households were made up of individuals and 5.8% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
