The racial makeup of the city was 93.86% White, 0.53% African American, 1.14% Native American, 0.53% Asian, 0.01% Pacific Islander, 1.41% from other races, and 2.52% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 3.20% of the population. There were 3,021 households out of which 42.4% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 62.0% were married couples living together, 11.1% had a female householder with no husband present, and 22.2% were non-families. 19.1% of all households were made up of individuals and 8.6% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
