There were 3,616 housing units at an average density of 56.8/km² (147.2/mi²). The racial makeup of the town was 97.15% White, 0.53% African American, 0.05% Native American, 0.72% Asian, 0.02% Pacific Islander, 0.49% from other races, and 1.04% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.28% of the population. There were 3,516 households out of which 33.4% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 60.2% were married couples living together, 8.1% had a female householder with no husband present, and 29.1% were non-families. 24.3% of all households were made up of individuals and 8.0% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
