There were 9,484 housing units at an average density of 115.4/km² (299.0/mi²). The racial makeup of the town was 91.10% White, 0.48% Black or African American, 0.96% Native American, 0.55% Asian, 0.14% Pacific Islander, 4.59% from other races, and 2.16% from two or more races. 11.12% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race. There were 8,964 households out of which 33.3% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 59.5% were married couples living together, 10.3% had a female householder with no husband present, and 26.0% were non-families. 19.8% of all households were made up of individuals and 8.9% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
